Out of work

During this year, I have been out of work. Before I started to look for a new job, one of my colleagues from my previous place of employment told me that she wanted to look for a new job herself. She is a cooperator and she suggested that we both pray to Don Alvaro so that we would both get new jobs. We both began saying the prayer card to Don Alvaro, and we both got new jobs, at the same location. I am sure that Don Alvaro helped us because in my own case I was not yet actively looking for work and the job “dropped in my lap".

Triple play !!

I wanted to report a triple favour my family has received through the intercession of Don Alvaro del Portillo. Last year my siblings and I were all looking for jobs. My situation was particularly difficult, as I had just moved to Montreal and could not speak French. We started praying to Don Alvaro and within months of each other my sister, my brother and I all found good, stable jobs. My job does not require me to speak French and is 20 minutes' walk from my apartment. Thank you Don Alvaro!

Papers were not an obstacle

My work in accounting entails a lot of paperwork in a school with more than 100 students. Documents and papers are flowing in.

One day, the enrollment papers together with a cheque of one student who had fully paid got misplaced in the different files and while I tried my human means to find it for the whole morning, it was fruitless.

Until I said, “Oh Padre help me now!" I paused and prayer “help me Padre now!" Then I opened a drawer and grabbed a file and it was there! The help was instantaneous.

The favour granted is that not only did I find it but that it reminded me never to rely alone in my own efforts.
